Love

She was beautiful, with an elegant posture and dark olive eyes that seemed to pierce through his very soul. Just being next to her made his fragile heart race faster. He moved closer, resting his hand on her shapely leg. She was even more stunning up close, her eyes not just green but also speckled with gold and silver.
She scowled at him, watching his every step with annoyance. He had been trying to woo her for the past fifteen minutes; it was starting to get a little old.
However she had to admit he was a charming one.
Slowly he wrapped his arm around hers, and let himself become completely captivated by her eyes.
There was a moment of silence and she smiled, tightening her grip around him.
In one quick bite she beheaded her would-be suitor and watched as his small green body crumpled onto the dirt.
Happily she swallowed the remains of his head, relishing the crunch of his bones and antennae. It’s possible he could have made a good mate. But he sure was one tasty mantis.
